When you stay at Crowberry we will be happy to help you find ways to pass the time, but beware, time flies when you’re enjoying yourself!

Walking   Golf
Perhaps the best way to experience the true beauty of the islands is by foot. There are a many walks just on our doorstep. Guided walks are available and marked walks with corresponding leaflet guides too. If you want any more information or simply want to borrow a pair of wellies for an afternoon stroll, let us know and we will be happy to help you.
There are five golf courses in the Outer Hebrides, with the 18 hole Lewis course being just a 10 minute drive away set in the beautiful grounds of Lews Castle. The islands have extremely long daylight hours in the summer so a great opportunity to play a few holes. There is no real need to book and if you’re a learner and haven’t got your clubs with you we have some you can borrow. Lewis and Harris golf courses are not open on a Sunday.

We will happily point you in the right direction too find out more about your ancestors. We also have a range of books and leaflets on the history and ancestry of the islands.
Whether it’s a gentle road route or something a bit more challenging the Outer Hebrides can offer it all. We can help you arrange bike hire in case you want a wee cycle down to the beach or just for a bit of fun. If you arrive by bike, we can offer you somewhere to dry clothes if need be and can lock your bikes away overnight.

The Outer Hebrides is steeped in rich Gaelic culture and a warmth and kindness you will feel when you visit. We’re happy that you try out your Gaelic pronunciation on us! With a native Hebridean in the house we’ll hopefully be able to help!
